Still in the aftermath of the covid-19 pandemic, the year 2021 was a difficult one for all international agencies and media outlets. EFE, well aware of this world situation, turned necessity into a virtue and the agency's efforts to fight against the infodemic, polarization and misinformation has earned it even more prestige. Agencia EFE will continue to work for independant journalism in Spanish and to keep citizens well informed for the sake of their individual freedoms and for the safe keeping of democracies.
